Ed and Sandy Adcock incorporated the family-owned business as EagleView Industries in January 2000. The launch combined Ed’s long-time infatuation with aviation and photography as a new challenge and a way to build flight time. Little did they know it would become a dynamic combination and source for many hours of pleasure as well as produce business revenue. Photography missions took Ed across the southern United States as pilot, photographer and infrared thermographer in the single engine Cessna Cardinal purchased in 2001.
Meet the people who make the magic happen.
Ed is a native of Vicksburg and Sandy moved to Vicksburg at a very young age with her parents and siblings.
Sandy has been the cornerstone for the office and administrative tasks and Ed’s number one cheer leader. She and Ed have been married for over 40 years and have a grown son and daughter and four grandchildren.
Ed earned his private pilot’s license at age eighteen fulfilling his lifelong dream to be a pilot. A commercial pilot’s license with an instrument rating came later. Working his way through pilot training as a grocery stock clerk, gas station attendant and a lineman at a small airport taught him valuable business skills for customer service and customer care. He applied these character traits as founding principles for EagleView Industries and they are practiced each day by he and Sandy as they interact with potential clients, established clients and other small business
owners soliciting their guidance. EagleView purchased the film negative inventory and camera equipment from Hand Studios based in Jackson Mississippi upon Mr. Hand’s retirement in 2002. Bob was a respected and prolific artisan operating as a portrait and aerial photographer. Many homes and executive board rooms of prestigious companies and Universities in Mississippi still display Mr. Hand’s legendary aerial photos. His film negatives are being preserved with respect for Mr. Hand and for their historical significance.
Drones were added as a practical way to conduct low-altitude photography. Ed jumped at the chance to earn his Remote Pilot’s license (Part 107) and purchased a drone in 2020 to complement aerial photography capability from crewed aircraft. The business underwent a branding upgrade in 2022 to better market aerial photography services as EagleView Aerial Imaging and remains a major business line for EagleView Industries, Inc.
Ed Adcock recently completed an intense course hosted by Drone Launch Academy titled Aerial Roof Inspection PRO. The course syllabus included fundamentals of roof inspection for all common roof types and materials, development of survey plans, customer coordination, flight planning, flight execution with data collection, data processing, data verification, storage and preservation of data, presentation of data in reports and actual capstone field projects. The capstone projects consisted of both residential and commercial roofs with reports reviewed by expert instructors before conveying the CARSS certification. One instructor, after reviewing the capstone projects, honored Ed with his comments “I am very impressed by your reports, two of the best I have seen so far! You have included all the necessary details, but so much more which is very beneficial for clients.”
The CARSS certification compliments Ed’s thirty-plus years of engineering experience including roof design, engineering management, construction quality assurance, and a long career of customer care enabling him to exceed customer requirements for roof surveys. Add Level III CIT for infrared certification with an emphasis on moisture mapping, remote pilot 14 CFR part 107, and part 61 commercial fixed-wing aircraft pilot licenses to make an all-around winning combination. Truly a one-stop resource for roof surveys and great customer experience for residential, commercial, and industrial clients.
Experience coupled with the right equipment is a winning recipe for great service and products. Our clients deserve the best!
